Mrs. Dianne Gainey Johnson, age 71, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at her home. A Worship Service filled with music will be 1:00 PM Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Almetta Baptist Church by Pastor Bobby Cato and Reverend Danny Johnson with burial to follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club will serve as honorary escort and are asked to line up in front of the church prior to the service.
The visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Friday, November 4, 2022 at Almetta Baptist Church.
Mrs. Johnson was born January 15, 1951 in Rock Hill, SC a daughter of the late Melvin and Margie Thomas Faile Gainey. She was a very talented seamstress who worked in different cloth textile plants and was known for her meticulous sewing abilities in clothing and bridal gowns. Dianne also worked for many years with Catered Creations, where she had an extraordinary eye for designing wedding cakes. A lady who possessed a gift for arts and crafts, Dianne enjoyed arranging flowers, crocheting, and knitting.
Mrs. Johnson loved the Lord, her family, and her church. A member of Almetta Baptist Church of Jefferson, Dianne faithfully served the Lord as church pianist and soloist through the years at First Freewill Baptist Church, Twin Pines Freewill Baptist Church, Bethel Baptist Church, and Rocky Creek Baptist Church. In her earlier years, she was a member of the Friends of Calvary Gospel Group. She loved worshipping the Lord through music and enjoyed attending gospel singings with friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry L. Johnson.
Survivors include her sons, Chad (Morgan) Johnson, and Christus (Rosalind) Johnson both of Jefferson, SC; grandchildren, Aidan Johnson, Leah Brooke Johnson, Declan Johnson, Mikey Fortarel, Fiona Johnson, Brogan Johnson, Brynlee Johnson, Elijah Turner, and Dylan Turner; sisters of the heart, Rachel Helms, Carolyn Autry, and Ola Faye Johnson.
