Donna Marie Johnson

Mrs. Donna Marie Johnson, age 56, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a hard fought battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 7 O’Clock PM from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Mike Presnell. The family will receive friends from 6-7 prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the Johnson home, 563 Beaver Run Rd, Cheraw SC.

Born in Kentucky to Charles and Hilda Rhodes in 1963, Donna later settled down in Cheraw, SC with her family. Donna loved all things outdoors; fishing, swimming, and camping. One of her favorite activities was playing outside with her grandson, Jasper, whom she loved dearly. Donna took great pride in her tribe. In addition she loved to go thrifting and enjoyed yard sales and flea markets. Donna was a free soul who loved with all her heart! She was also known as a collector of people.

Donna was preceded in death by a sister; Charlene Kay Rhodes; grandmother, Mildred Kissiah; and dear friend Kathy Moore.

Survivors include her mother; Hilda (Bud) Kissiah; father, Charles (Connie) Rhodes; grandson, Super Jasper; daughter, Kelli Johnson; son, Matthew Wicker; brothers; Anthony (Trish-Anne) Leviner, Charles Rhodes, Joe (Beth) Rhodes; sister, Chaz (Brian) Rhodes Perry; great-aunt, Ruth Blackmon; in addition to 8 nephews whom she loved. Donna had many other children whom she loved like her own; Cindy Dixon, Melissa Oliver, Tammy Johnson, and Mandy Shoemake were all very close to her heart. Special life-long friends of Donna were; Eugene Johnson, Greg Wicker, Shannon Polson, and Debbie Campbell.

In lieu of flowers, Donna requested that donations be made to her grandson Jasper’s Disney Cruise Fund, C/O Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
