Mrs. Donna Sue Melton Pope, age 58, entered into rest on Thursday, April 19, 2018. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 22, 2018 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the home of Elizabeth & Blake Evans, 241 Lagoda Drive, Locust, NC.

Mrs. Pope was born March 22, 1960 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of Sadie Davis Whitaker and the late George Bobby Melton. She was a devoted caregiver and worked in the nursing field for many years. Mrs. Pope was a member of Young Memorial Baptist Church of Concord, NC. Her favorite pastimes included connecting with friends on Facebook and spending time with her beloved pet, “Boots.”

In addition to her father, Donna was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Bailey McClain; and first husband, Leonard McClain.

Survivors include her husband, Danny Wallace of the home; 2 daughters, Tashia Elizabeth (Blake) Evans of Locust, NC, and Sierra (Adam Crowley) Wallace of Chesterfield, SC; son, Todd McClain of Society Hill, SC; 5 grandchildren, Blake, Brayden, and Bella McClain, and Grayson Howell; mother, Sadie Davis (Billy) Whitaker of Lancaster, SC; and sister, Rebecca (Timothy) Hilburn of Lancaster, SC
