Mr. Donnie A. Oliver, age 76, entered into rest on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. William Griggs and Rev. Kyle Oliver. The graveside service will be 3:00 PM Tuesday at the Elmwood Cemetery, Fort Lawn, SC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home and other times at the home of Steve and Sherry Oliver.

Mr. Oliver was born August 25, 1942 in Lancaster, SC a son of the late James Thomas “J.T.” and Ola Demby Oliver. He was a retired employee of both Springs Industries and the Town of Fort Lawn. Mr. Oliver was also the former owner and operator of Oliver’s Trash Service. A loving father, grandfather, and great – grandfather, Donnie enjoyed farming, gardening, and tractors.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Oliver was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Wayne and Johnny Oliver; and one infant granddaughter, Kimberly Dawn Oliver.

Survivors include his children, Steve (Sherry) Oliver of Pageland, Eddie (Barbara) Oliver of Myrtle Beach, and Kim (Michael) Strickland of Pageland; and their mother, Sylvia Oliver of Pageland; grandchildren, Rev. Kyle (Jessica) Oliver of Jefferson, Maggie (Mike) Lashare of W.V., Kristi Copeland of Jefferson, Ashley (Kadrick Baker) Strickland of Charlotte, NC, Trent (LauraAnn) Strickland of Marshville, NC, D.J. (Amber) Oliver of Bethune, and Katelyn (Rev. Logan) Griffin of Jefferson; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Kambri, Aubrey, Kerstin, McKenzie, Elizabeth, Landon, Zoey, Kerrington, EmmaRae, Easton, Cole, Brylee, Waylon, and soon to be arriving, Kannon “Nemo”, and baby Strickland; siblings, Gene (Donna) Oliver, Junior (Vickie) Oliver both of Jefferson, J.D. (Peggy) Oliver of Henrietta, NC, Margie (Melvin) Kirkley of Pageland, and Onita (Rev. William) Griggs of Ruby, SC; also numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express a very special thank you to nurse, Lindsay McMackin and the staff of River View Hospice and Palliative Care.
