Mrs. Doris Smith Hendrick, age 86, entered into rest on Monday, June 19, 2017. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Mt. Croghan United Methodist Church by Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hendrick was born March 6, 1931 in Pageland, SC a daughter of the late Charles Bruner and Otis Missouri Jenkins Smith. She was a homemaker and member of Mt. Croghan United Methodist Church. An avid sports fan, Doris enjoyed following the Atlanta Braves and Carolina Gamecocks. She also loved birds and working cross word puzzles. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Doris was also preceded in death by her husband, Billie Blair “Bill” Hendrick, Sr.; brother, Charles Smith; 4 sisters, Mary Caston, Ruth Freeman, Betty Kennington, and Frances Burch.

Survivors include her son, Billy Blair Hendrick, Jr. and wife Deneice of Marshville, NC; daughter, Amy Lewis and husband Jay of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Jamy Lewis, Andrew (Kristina) Lewis, Alex (Farrah) Lewis, Jayson Lewis, Erin (Brooks) Felt, and Blair (Kristen) Hendrick; 3 great grandchildren, Heidi Hendrick, Harper Felt, and Liam Lewis; and 1 sister, Pat Funderburk of Pageland, SC.
