Dorothy "Dot" Hancock Wilkerson

Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Hancock Wilkerson, age 86, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 26, 2019. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2019 at Center Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Charles Terry and Rev. Rodney Nicholson with the eulogy being delivered by her granddaughter, Renee Hancock. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wilkerson was born December 6, 1932 in Ruby, SC a daughter of the late Ross Edward and Dezzie Summerford Nicholson. She was a retired employee of World Elastic in Concord, NC and was a longtime C.N.A. taking care of many family members and friends through the years. Dot was a faithful member of Center Grove Baptist Church. Her hobbies included working in her yard and gardening.

In addition to her parents, Dot was also preceded in death by 2 husbands, Frank Hancock and Olin Wilkerson; son, Franklin Hancock; brothers, Frank Nicholson and Mack “Coy” Nicholson; sisters, Muriel Boan, Elsie Cooper, and Ann Campbell.

Survivors include her children, Linda (Tommy) Davis of Wilmington, NC, Cathy (Jim) Steen of Ruby, SC, and Andy (Teresa) Hancock of Pageland, SC; grandchildren, Wendy (John) Roberts of Apex, NC, Robyn Davis of Wilmington, NC, Charles (Leslie) Hancock of Pageland, SC, Rebecca Hancock of Pageland, SC, Jamie (Stephanie) Steen of Mt. Croghan, SC, Michelle Hancock of Pageland, SC, Renee (Richard “P-Nut” Hinson) Hancock of Jefferson, SC; 16 great grandchildren including Hayden whom Mrs. Dot had a special bond with; also numerous nieces and nephews.
