Dorothy June Yoho

Morven, NC

Ms. Dorothy June Yoho, age 77, entered into rest on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at the home of her daughter. The family will hold a private service at a later date.

Ms. Yoho was born June 5, 1943 in Bay City, Michigan a daughter of the late Ernest Richard and Sally D. Prahl. She was a retired employee of the AVX Corporation in Myrtle Beach, SC and a member of Zoar United Methodist Church. A lady who always had an eye for a deal, Dorothy was known as the “Yard Sale Queen.” She enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets, shopping for a bargain. Other hobbies included fishing, watching softball, and riding her candy-apple red Harley that she purchased at age 65. A lady who lived life to the fullest, Dorothy’s greatest pride and enjoyment in life was her family, especially her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Yoho was also preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Prahl, and Gary Prahl; and sister, Connie Prahl.

Survivors include her children, Tom Herman of Myrtle Beach, SC, Sally J. Boss, and husband Donnie Gainey of Morven, NC, and Debra B. Brock of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Brittany (Timmy) Jordan of Chesterfield, SC, Emily Williams of Morven, NC, Bella Black of Cheraw, SC, Kaylin Gainey, and Jonathan (Kalley) Gainey both of Patrick, SC; great grandchildren, Lex Jordan, and Ellie Jordan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
