DECEASED: Dr. Jeremiah Buchanan Perry, age 93, died peacefully at his home on April 19, 2012.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: will be 4:00 P.M. Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Chesterfield Baptist Church.
VISITATION: will be in the Church Fellowship Hall immediately following the service
Dr. Jerry, as he was affectionately known by the many people who knew him and enjoyed the privilege of his medical skill and his company, was the son of the late Essie Burns Buchanan Perry and Dr. William Joel Perry. He graduated from Chesterfield High School in 1935 and Wake Forest University in 1939. He taught school briefly in Williston, NC, and from there entered Oglethorpe University Medical School. His medical education was interrupted for his military service. He was honorably discharged and entered the Medical University of South Carolina in 1948.
Dr. Jerry and his brother Dr. William Perry established the Perry Clinic in Chesterfield, SC in 1954. During his many years of practice, Dr. Jerry touched the lives of hundreds of people who came to love him and to appreciate his concern and his tremendous medical skill.
Dr. Jerry was honored by numerous organizations and individuals throughout Chesterfield County and the state of South Carolina. His wit, his concern, and interest for both great and small, and his undying love for his family, has left its mark on many, many people. In addition to his parents, Dr. Jerry was also preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Percival Perry.

Daughters: Claudia Perry Maloney of Columbia, SC, Vivian Perry Clower and husband Allan of Ronceverte, WV, Jill King Perry of Florence, SC, and Molly Perry Rose and husband Rob of Chesterfield, SC
Grandsons: Mark Harmon, Scott (Leslie) Harmon, and Kevin Quick
Granddaughters: Keller Ann Perry and Molly Clower (John) Giannuzzi
Great Grandchildren: Emily Grace, Luke, and Olivia Harmon
Brother: Dr. William L. Perry of Chesterfield, SC
Special Cousin: Mary Jean Lineberger of Mooresville, NC
