Durand Presley, Sr.

          Mr. Durand Presley, Sr., age 83, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Monday, October 23, 2023 at Westfield Creek Baptist Church Cemetery by Pastor Jason Pope. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM Monday, prior to the service at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

          Mr. Presley was born January 14, 1940 in Cheraw, SC a son of the late Ernest Presley and Maxine Lee Presley - Polson. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with TVA and an U.S. Navy veteran. Durand was a former member of the Cheraw Masonic Lodge #15. In his spare time, he enjoyed adding to his collection of “valuables.”

          In addition to his parents, Mr. Presley was also preceded in death by siblings, Trena Kay Skipper, Peggy Jean Presley, Linda Diane Presley, Ernest Presley, and Bill Presley.

          Survivors include his children, Durand Presley, Jr. of Cheraw, SC, Kimberley Presley of Lineville, AL, and Kevin Turner of Dillon, SC; numerous grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Morris of Cheraw, SC, and Gloria Bivens of Dixon, MO; and companion, Sheila Crowley.
