Dylinda Clanton Seamon

Mrs. Dylinda Ann Clanton Seamon, age 78, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at her home.  A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM on Friday, April 27, 2018, at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church, 2817 Mt. Harmony Church Road, Matthews, NC, by Dr. Buddy Pigg.  The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 2:00-3:30 PM.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 29, 2018, from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home in Chesterfield, SC, by Phillip Caulder Jr., with visitation from 2:00 to 3:00 and with burial to follow in the Clanton Plains Baptist Church Cemetery in Chesterfield, SC.

Mrs. Seamon was born on March 20, 1940, in Chesterfield, SC, a daughter of the late Frank Morris Clanton and Blanche Perdue Clanton.  Linda had a big, giving heart and a friendly and outgoing personality. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was a retired associate with K-Mart with 40 years of service and was also an Avon consultant for many years.  Linda enjoyed collecting spoons, all kinds of “nicknacks”, and antiques.  She also enjoyed puzzles, cross stitching, and talking on the phone with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Dean Seamon; brother, Billy H. Clanton and wife Margie Clanton; and by her brother-in-law, Paul Strawn.

Her survivors include her 3 sons, John H. (Martha) O’Tuel of Stanfield, NC, Greg (Lisa) of Charlotte, NC, and Edwin M. O’Tuel of Matthews, NC; sister, Shirley C. Strawn of Pageland, SC; grandson, J.C. (Jessica) O’Tuel; 4 great grandchildren, Warren, Daisy, Dakota and Zoe; 2 step daughters, Jan (Keith) Coble of Charlotte, NC, and Joy (Keith) Phifer of Raeford, NC; 4 step grandchildren, Robert and Jaimie Coble and Katie and Kristie Phifer; also numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
