Edd Belk

Jefferson, SC 

Mr. Edd Belk, age 75, entered into rest on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor (serving in memory of Edd’s good friend and neighbor, the late Rev. Doug Taylor) and Pastor Rodney Smothers with burial to follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mr. Belk was born March 4, 1949 in Jefferson, SC a son of the late Charlie and Almetta Faile Belk. He was a retired employee of Conbraco with over 43 years of service. Edd was a faithful member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Pageland, where he served as former Deacon and sound system operator. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and hosting cookouts for his friends. A man who never met a stranger, Edd will be fondly remembered for his outgoing personality and his heart to help people. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Belk was also preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Belk, twin brother, Ell Belk; sister, Nancy Sewell, and an infant sister.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Shirley M. Steen of the home; son, Kenny Belk of Columbia, SC; nieces, Kathy Sewell, and Michelle (Derek) McManus; nephew, Norman Sewell; in addition to numerous cousins and friends.
