Mr. Eddie B. Gainey, age 76, died Thursday, September 22, 2016. Graveside Services will be 3:00 PM Monday, September 26, 2016 at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens by Rev. Jerry Gainey. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Mr. Gainey was born March 10, 1940 in Cheraw, SC a son of the late Ike and Martha Gainey. He was a retired employee of Highland Industries and a former employee of Delta Mills. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his loving wife, Audrey Faye Gainey; and his 4 brothers, Earl, Arthur, Ike, and Maxie Gainey.

Survivors include his 2 sons, Maxie (Lisa) Gainey of Patrick, SC, and David (Kelli) Gainey of Cheraw, SC; 1 daughter, Linda (Jimmy Smith) Johnson of Hartsville, SC; step-sons, James (Karen) Gainey of Hartsville, SC and Frank Gainey of Elgin, SC; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and his beloved pet, “Cat”.
