Edith Joyce Wilkerson

Miss. Edith Joyce Wilkerson, age 70, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 15, 2024. A Celebration of Life service will be 5:00 PM Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends from 4:00 – 5:00 PM Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home. A private committal service will be held in the Bay Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Miss Wilkerson was born November 15, 1953 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Walker Kelly and Joyce Crowley Wilkerson. She was a retired employee of both Weller Wire and Chesterfield Webbing. Edith was a member of Bay Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing games on her tablet and playing cards with her family. In her younger years, Edith enjoyed playing softball, traveling to the beach, and singing her favorite song at karaoke, “Strawberry Wine.” She was proud to tell you she was a USC Gamecocks fan.

In addition to her parents, Miss Wilkerson was also preceded in death by her brothers, Vernon Wilkerson and Owen Wilkerson; sisters, Hazel Cassidy, Ivy Campbell, Catherine Davis, Annie Sue Gooden, Mazalee Wilkerson, and Sylvia Wilkerson.

Survivors include her daughter, Kelli Joyce (Travis) Bryan of the home; sisters, Vennie Smith, and Linda Gooden both of Patrick, SC; numerous nieces and nephews including special nieces, Michelle Gooden Duvall, and Betty Jo Starnes.
