Edna Adams

Mrs. Edna M. Adams, age 86, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016. A Celebration of Life Service will be 4:00 PM Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Don Rhyne. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 4:00 Sunday, prior to the service at the funeral home. A private family committal service will be held in the Chesterfield Cemetery.

Mrs. Adams was born September 17, 1930 in Wadesboro, NC a daughter of the late Edward and Bronnie Kelly Paul. She was a retired employee of Burlington Industries and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Mrs. Adams was the last surviving member of her immediate family and was the youngest of 12 siblings.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her first husband, Vernon Eugene McLain and her late husband, Ernest W. Adams.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth P. McLain of Wallace, SC, Janice M. “Jan” Welch of Columbia, SC, and Michael E. McLain of Patrick, SC; 4 grandchildren, Sandy Sembler, Jeff Nussbaum, Meredith Futch, and Jason McLain; 2 great grandchildren, Katie Futch and Cameron Crawford; and a host of nieces and nephews.
