Edward Junior Funderburk

          Mr. Edward Junior Funderburk, age 72, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at his home. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Saturday, April 22, 2023 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Reverend Dr. Frankie Melton with burial to follow in the White Oak Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

          Mr. Funderburk was born January 25, 1951 a son of the late Buck and Rosella Knight Funderburk. He was a former employee of Southern High-Pressure Cleaning. An avid outdoorsman, Edward enjoyed fishing, working on cars, woodworking as a hobby, and just spending time in his shop tinkering.

          In addition to his parents, Mr. Funderburk was also preceded in death by his siblings, Joe Ben Knight, Stella Nix, Edna Eason, and Jack Funderburk.

          Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Patricia Funderburk of the home; children, Bridget (Michael) Collins, Eddie (Greta) Funderburk, Jeanie (Brad) Millis all of Jefferson, SC, and Patrick (Kelli) Funderburk of Marshville, NC; grandchildren, Chaynce (Aimee’) Allen, Damien (Rachel) Collins, Jerry Collins, Matthew Richardson, Nicholas Funderburk, Summer Richardson, Tiffany Funderburk, Michael Millis, Kole Williams, and Maci Funderburk; great grandchild, Viktor Allen; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

          Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
