Edward Dean Brantley

Mr. Edward Dean Brantley, age 68, entered into rest on Saturday, June 16, 2018. A Celebration of Life Service will be 4:00 PM Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Pine Grove Baptist Church by Pastor Mark Phillips. The family will greet friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Brantley was born December 1, 1949 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Clyde and Almeta "Bobbie" Sellers Brantley. He was an employee of Domtar Paper Mill and a life-long farmer. A member of Hopewell Baptist Church, Dean enjoyed attending Pine Grove Baptist Church with his family. Dean was a loving husband and a proud father and grandfather. An avid Clemson Tiger fan, he enjoyed playing golf and watching college football. His favorite tv shows were old westerns, Law and Order, NYPD, and watching Steve Harvey on Family Feud. Dean will be fondly remembered by his family for his love of Oldie’s music.

In addition to his parents, Dean was also preceded in death by his sister, Billie Brantley Sims; and brother-in-law, Jimmy Sims.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Vicki Tucker Brantley of the home; son, Matthew “Matt” (Nikki) Brantley of Summerville, SC, and his mother, Karen Brantley of Chesterfield, SC; daughter, Kinsey Grace Brantley of Chesterfield, SC; grandson, Davis Arthur Brantley; niece, Hope Malone of TN.
