VISITATION: is 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church

HISTORY: Mr. Previtte was born February 23, 1925 in Anson County, NC, a son of the late James Ross and Mamie Mathis Previtte. He was a 1941 graduate of Morven High School, and was a retired employee of Delta Mills with 38 years of service. Edwin was a faithful member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, where he served as Sunday School Teacher in the Men and Teens Class for 65 years. He was a former MYF Leader, Sunday School Superintendent, Lay Leader, chairman of the Church Council, and served on various other committees through the years. He was also a member of the WOW Lodge 966. Edwin loved music and enjoyed playing the fiddle and mandolin. He was faithful to his Family, Church, Church Family, and most of all to his Lord. Edwin was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Driggers Previtte, and by a brother, James Ross Previtte, Jr.

2 Daughters: Gloria P. Lewis of Wallace, SC and Beverly P. Thompson of Rockingham, NC
2 Grandchildren: Chad Lewis and Tina Thompson
Brother: Rev. Glenn T. (Marie) Previtte of Wallace, SC
