DECEASED: Judge Elizabeth "Jackie" Eddins Burch, age 73, died Thursday, February 23, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 3:00 P.M. Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Zoar United Methodist Church
INTERMENT: to follow in the Church Cemetery
VISITATION: 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.
HISTORY: Judge Burch was born April 28, 1938 in Chesterfield, SC, the daughter of the late William Thomas "Will" and Chandler Olivia Rivers Eddins. She was a graduate of Chesterfield High School, and was a former employee of Sacony. She was a retired employee of Chesterfield County School System, having served as secretary of Edwards Elementary School and as computer lab manager at Chesterfield Middle School. Judge Burch retired on June 30, 2010 after 28 years as magistrate of Chesterfield County, serving the last 16 years as chief magistrate. She was an active member of the Chesterfield Service Club, and was honored by the Club as Citizen of the Year in 2010.
Jackie was a life long member of Zoar United Methodist Church, where she served as secretary of the cemetery committee, Native American representative, and was a member of Sunday School Class 9. Jackie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, eating at the cabin, fishing at the lake, and serving the people of Chesterfield County. In addition to her parents, Jackie was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Elizabeth "Libby" V. Eddins

SURVIVORS: Husband: Charles Douglas Burch of the home.
Daughter and Son-in-law: Kim and Andy Gaskins of Chesterfield, SC
Grandchildren: Gracyn Elizabeth Gaskins and William Douglas "Will" Gaskins of Chesterfield, SC
Brother: Billy Thomas Eddins of Chesterfield, SC
Niece: Suzanne Eddins Harrelson of Blythewood, SC
Also a number of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

The family would like to express a special "thank-you" to Dr. Rao and Dr. John F. McLeod, III and the staff of McLeod Regional Medical Center and Chesterfield General Hospital for the care and support shown to Jackie and her Family.
