Mrs. Elizabeth “Aunt Lizzie” Hunter, age 89, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 8, 2016. Funeral Services will 3:00 PM Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Tony Tyner and Rev. Josh Hilton with burial to follow in the Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hunter was born March 29, 1927 in Mt. Croghan, SC a daughter of the late John and Dolly Hilton. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Hunter was a homemaker and a charter member of Living Hope Church. She loved her family dearly and was truly their matriarch. Mrs. Hunter enjoyed working word search puzzles and playing bingo.

In addition to her parents and siblings, Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dorsey R. Hunter; 2 sons, Jimmy and Harvey Hunter; and 1 son-in-law, Charles Lindsey.

Survivors include her son, Donald Hunter and wife Rhonda of Wilmington, NC; daughters, Mary Privette and husband Grady of Society Hill, SC, and Barbara Lindsey of Ruby, SC; grandchildren, Paula Privette of Latta, SC, Connie Tyner and husband Tony of Cheraw, SC, Tina Mitterling and husband Steve of Cleveland, OH, Buck Privette and wife Heather of Society Hill, SC, Diane Wallace and husband Bo of Cheraw, SC, and Charles “Boo” Lindsey, Jr. and wife Heather of Monroe, NC; great grandchildren, Beth Allison and husband Trey, Tony Tyner, Jr., Cortney Tyner, Spencer Wallace, BJ Wallace, Brittney Lewis and husband Blake, Joshua Lewis, Eryn Lewis, Karinna Lewis, Margaret Privette, Kaylynn Privette, and Daniel Privette; great great grandchildren, Hannah Allison, Skyler Allison, and Nolan Lewis.

The family requests memorials be made in Mrs. Hunter’s memory to the Living Hope Church, 1688 Bethel Church Rd, Cheraw, SC 29520
