            Mrs. Elizabeth “Joanne” Moree Terry, age 81, entered into rest on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Reverend Robert Rivers and Reverend Mack Mullis with burial to follow in the Long Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

          Mrs. Terry was born November 15, 1941 in the Litaker Township of Rowan County, NC a daughter of the late John Wylie and Annie Lee Plyler Moree. She was a retired employee of Whispering Pines Sportswear and former employee of Yarn Industries. Mrs. Terry was a faithful member of Long Branch Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, visiting with friends, and spending time with her family.

          In addition to her parents, Mrs. Terry was also preceded in death by her husband, Alvin J. Terry; siblings, Louise (Joe) Brock, Grace Long, Don (Jean) Moree; and in-laws, LeRoy Jordan, Vernese (Carel) Kirkley, Ralph (Mollie) Terry, and Ray Terry.

          Survivors include her son, Keith and wife, Patricia Griffin Terry of Jefferson, SC; daughter, Elizabeth and husband, Scott Gulledge of Pageland, SC; grandchildren, Austin (Abby) Terry of Lancaster, SC, Matthew (Sydney) Terry of Lexington, SC, Megan (Lucas) Melton of Jefferson, SC, Justin (Chloe Threatt) Gulledge of Pageland, SC; siblings, Joyce Moree Jordan of Pageland, SC, and Nancy Moree Watts; In-laws, Iris (BC) Plyler of Pageland, SC; special telephone friends and traveling companions, Margaret McCarn, Frankie Terry Griffin, and Debbie Donahue; caregiver for past three years whom she loved like her own grandchildren, Gretchen Webb; and her beloved 4-legged companion, “Sandy.”
