Mrs. Ellen Lett Hayes, age 53, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Sunday, February 6, 2022 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Grover Johnson with burial to follow in the Lett Family Cemetery, Patrick, SC. The family will greet friends from 3:00 - 4:00 PM Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the family home, 823 Colin King Road, Patrick, SC.

Mrs. Hayes was born November 26, 1968 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of Duncan Belvin Lett and Sarah Fisher Vanhoy. Ellen was a homemaker and a member of Patrick Baptist Church. She loved her family, church family, listening to country music, and working word search puzzles. Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by her step-father, Glenn Douglas Vanhoy.

She is survived by her husband, Ricky Hayes, who she married on November 14, 1987; two daughters Amanda Widrig (Mike) of Chesterfield, SC, and Shareena Roscoe (Aaron) of the Teals Mill Community, Chesterfield, SC; one grandchild, Mary Roscoe, and soon to be arriving, Jo-Anna Marie Roscoe (due in 7 weeks.) Mother, Sarah Fisher Vanhoy of Rockwell, NC; father, Duncan Belvin Lett (Linda) of Patrick, SC; two sisters, Carolyn Armistead (Jeff) of Summerville, SC, and Linda Dale Lett of Patrick, SC; two brothers, Duncan Wade Lett of Patrick, SC, and Richard Lett of Rockwell, NC; eleven nieces and nephews, eight great nieces and great nephews; and sister-in-law, Crystal Tolson (Adam) of Patrick, SC.
