Eloise Odom Rivers

Mrs. Mary Eloise Rivers, age 76, entered into rest on Friday, December 22, 2017. A Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Mike Phares. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rivers was born November 13, 1941 in Cheraw, SC a daughter of the late Richard and Bertie Lee Odom. She was a former employee of Chesterfield Manufacturing with over 30 years of service and a retired employee of Highland Industries. She enjoyed working word search puzzles, getting her nails done, and taking the time “each” day to watch General Hospital. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Eloise loved her family and was affectionately known as “Weezie” to her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Eloise was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Charles Raymond Rivers; and 2 brothers, Malloy and Billy Odom.

Survivors include her 2 sons, Jonathan “Johnny” (Robin) Rivers of Chesterfield, SC, and Danny Ray (Cyndy) Rivers of Timmonsville, SC; 4 grandchildren, Nathan Rivers, Jeremy Rivers, Katherine (Richard) Owensby, and Daniel Rivers; great granddaughter, Stella Rose Owensby; 4 sisters, Gracie Ratliff of Morven, NC, Shelby Laramore, and Martha Ann Odom both of Rock Hill, SC, and Peggy Hughes of Woodstock, GA; and her beloved pets, “Bertie” and “Roxie”.
