HISTORY: Mrs. Hayes was born August 8, 1937 in Chesterfield County a daughter of the late Harvey and Sallie Lear. She was former employee of Caro-Knit. Mrs. Hayes was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church. Elsie was first married to the late Wade Price and then to the late Joe Hayes. In addition to her parents and husband, Elsie was also preceded in death by 6 brothers, Carswell, J.C., Robert, Thomas, Otis, and Harvey Lee Lear, and by 2 sisters Marie Campbell and Mary Lee Mackey.

2 Daughters: Denise Price of Jefferson, SC and Darlene (Rex) Allen of Mt. Croghan, SC
1 Brother: Lewis (Emma Lee) Lear of McBee, SC
