A funeral service to celebrate the life of  Mrs. Ermine Gainey Tyner, who entered into rest on Friday, January 21, 2022, with her family at her bedside, will be held at 3 o'clock on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Brown Springs Baptist Church, with The Rev. Donnie Faulkenbury and The Rev. William Griggs and will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 until 5:00 pm at the residence, 2227 Jordan Farm Road, Patrick, SC 29584. The Directors of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home & Crematory are caring for the family.

Mrs. Tyner was born in Hartsville, SC, a daughter of the late James Ray Segars and Nettie Jane Blackwell Segars.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Tyner; daughters, Bonnie Polson, Linda Brown; sister, Mary Alice Hall; grandchildren, Jerry (Kayla) Lundy, Adam Lundy, Brandy (Josh) White, Jacob Polson, Kattie Cole (Pete Smith), Haley (Tim) Teel, Waylon Brown; great-grandchildren, Kara, Lane, Liam, Kali, Harleigh, Baylee, Harlee, Joseph, Ava, Kaysen, Brynlee, Tanner, Tylah, Lacey, and TJ; dear friend, Ann Gainey Lawrence.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Harold Gainey, and her son, Timothy Gainey; sisters, Carolyn Keith, Lucille Hall, Bobbie Segars, Shirley Davis, Barbara Atkinson; brothers, Billy Segars, Johnny Segars, James Segars; son-in-law, William B. "Buck" Polson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Petey Gainey, Robbie Gainey, Chad Tyner, Timmy Jordan, Codie Dixon, and Pete Smith.
