Ernest W. "Ernest T" Tyner

Patrick, SC

Mr. Ernest W. Tyner, affectionately known as “Ernest T”, entered into rest on Monday, November 5, 2018 at the age of 58. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from the chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Robert Turner and Rev. Jeff Williams with burial to follow in the Harris Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Tyner was born March 4, 1960 in Darlington County, SC a son of the late Ben and Annie Lee Petty Tyner. A life-long farmer, Ernest was a dedicated member of the Patrick Fire Department and the Patrick Rescue Squad. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tyner was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ann Gainey; and brother-in-law, Randy Lynch.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Lela Gainey Tyner of the home; brothers, Alvis Tyner of Patrick, SC, Curtis (Linda) Tyner of Hartsville, SC, Hayward (Debbie) Tyner, and Donald Lee Tyner both of Patrick, SC; and sister, Donna Kay Lynch of Cheraw, SC; also numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
