DECEASED: Mrs. Ethel Turnage King, age 86, died Saturday, November 28, 2009.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel

INTERMENT: to follow in Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery.

VISITATION: 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Monday, November 30, 2009 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

HISTORY: Mrs. King was born November 27, 1923 in Cheraw, SC, a daughter of the late Wade and Alene Wallace Turnage. She was a graduate of Cheraw High School, a former employee of Sacony, and a retired employee of Chesterfield Manufacturing Company. Mrs. King was a member of Lower Macedonia Baptist Church. Ethel was a wonderful cook and seamstress, and enjoyed gardening. In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. King; six brothers, Marine, Elbert, Bill, Wallace, John H., and Baxter Turnage; and four sisters, Maggie Wallace, Jayne Gentry, Virginia Salazar, and Sallie Skipper.

3 Grandchildren: Lisa Watts (Kenneth Lee) of Surfside Beach, SC, Eric (Lynn) Watts of Pendleton, IN, and Jody C.(Kristen) Watts of Charlotte, NC
3 Step Grandchildren: Joseph (Nicole) Edick of Florence, SC, Floyd (Sara) Edick, Jr. of Blackstone, MA, and Roxanne (Jim) Richard of Attleboro, MA
4 Great Grandchildren: Kaitlin and Hannah Watts; Nikolas and Collin Edick
