Etta Lee "Kitty" Dupree

Mrs. Etta Lee “Kitty” Dupree, age 89, entered into rest on Monday, January 14, 2019. Graveside services will be 12:00 PM Friday, January 18, 2019 at Westfield Creek Baptist Church Cemetery by Father Tim Hushion. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. Dupree was born May 19, 1929 in Cheraw, SC a daughter of the late Johnny and Lillie Peele Lee. She was a graduate of Zoar High School where she was valedictorian of her class and went on to attain her associates of business degree. A long-time member of Westfield Creek Baptist Church, Kitty enjoyed attending Calvary Episcopal Church in Wadesboro, NC. She was a homemaker and will be fondly remembered as a friend to all.

In addition to her parents, Kitty was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clifford O. Dupree; 2 sisters, Ottis Lee and Helen Lee; and brother, Jimmy Ray Lee.

Survivors include her daughter, Sharon (Ronald) Powell of Ft. Mill, SC; grandchildren, Ronald “Chip” (Carlie) Powell of Rock Hill, SC, Christopher (Nickie) Powell of Easley, SC, and Stephen (Ashton) Powell of Charlotte, NC; great grandchildren, Lucas, Scarlett, Hunter, and Beckham.
