DECEASED: Miss Eugenia Pearl Melton, age 89, died Saturday, December 29, 2012, in Florence, SC, where she had resided for the past few years.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 1:00 P.M, Friday, January 4, 2013 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel, Chesterfield, SC

INTERMENT: to follow in the Chesterfield Cemetery


HISTORY: Miss Melton was born October 19, 1923 in Chesterfield, SC, a daughter of the late Ted Caston Melton and Eugenia Parler Melton. She was a graduate of Chesterfield High School and received her bachelor degree from Winthrop College. Miss Melton retired after many years of service as Administrative Assistant with the U.S. Forestry Commission. Genia Pearl enjoyed playing bridge, reading, knitting, traveling, and helping to raise her great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, Genia Pearl was also preceded in death by her sister, Sybil Melton Mosley and by her brother, Ted Caston Melton, Jr.

SURVIVORS:
3 Nephews: Jimmy (T.J.) Mosley III of Atlanta, GA.
Rick (Millie) Melton of Lake City, SC, and Edward (Jeanne) Melton of Florence, SC
2 Nieces: Susan (Randy) Senn of Newberry, SC and Hazel (Larry) Norton of Lake Way, TX.
Also 2 Great Nieces and 6 Great Nephews

MEMORIALS: May be made to a Hospice of one's choice or to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 305 West Main St, Chesterfield, SC 29709
