Fannie Jean Davis Futrell

Chesterfield, SC

Mrs. Fannie Jean Davis Futrell, age 88, entered into rest on Monday, August 30, 2021. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Pine Grove Baptist Church by Pastor Mark Phillips and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Chesterfield Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM Wednesday, prior to the service in the sanctuary of the church.

Mrs. Futrell was born April 30, 1933 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Arthur M. and Carrie Hunt Davis. She retired from Mar-Mac Industries and was a former employee of Chesterfield Manufacturing. Fannie Jean was a faithful member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and was very active in the Senior Saints Ministry. She enjoyed traveling with the Senior Saints and on family vacations, and loved listening to gospel music. Fannie Jean most enjoyed time spent with her family and working in her flowers.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Futrell was preceded in death by her husband, Delwood C. Futrell; and brother-in-law, Marvin H. “Pop” Aycock.

Survivors include her sister, Barbara “Bobbie” D. Aycock of Chesterfield, SC; nephews, Billy Aycock, and Marvin Eugene (Paula) Aycock; nieces, Deborah Heustess, and Barbara (Billy) Sellers, great nephew, Adrian Aycock; great nieces, Jennifer Moss, Sydney Aycock, and Madison Aycock; great-great nieces, Natalie Horton and Audrina Aycock; cousin, Carson (Lois) Griggs; her beloved church family, and a host of friends including her 2 life-long friends, Margaret Barber, and Doris Hood.

Flowers are welcomed, but for those wishing to make a donation, the family suggests that memorials be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
