Faye Marze Huggins

Cheraw, SC

Mrs. Faye Marze Huggins, age 91, entered into rest on Friday, January 22, 2021 at her home. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens by Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Due to the continued COVID-19 risks, we ask that you practice social distancing at all times and refrain from any physical contact. The family would like for all attending the service to please wear a face covering.

Mrs. Huggins was born October 20, 1929 in Mt. Croghan, SC a daughter of the late Edwin and Pauline Rushing Marze. She was a former employee of Delta Mills and retired as secretary of First Baptist Church of Cheraw. Mrs. Huggins, along with her husband, was the former co-owner and operator of the Chuckwagon Grill in Chesterfield. She enjoyed cross stitching, reading, working cross word puzzles, and traveling to all the flea markets with her late husband.

In addition to her parents, Faye was also preceded in death by her husband, Marion James Huggins; and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Preceded siblings include, Edwin “Pete” Marze, Frances Cannon, Anna Belle Rainwater, Idelle King, Luille Komorowski, and Ronnie Marze.

Survivors include her children, Linda Thomas of Cheraw, SC, and James “Mickey” Huggins of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren, Stacey (Joe) Hurst of Chesterfield, SC, and Ryan Thomas and family of Conway, SC; great grandchildren, Saylor Hurst, and Peyton Hurst; great-great granddaughter, Taylin Brady; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Regency SouthernCare Hospice for the extraordinary care and love shown to Mrs. Huggins and her family.
