A funeral service celebrating the life of Flora Belle Davis Campbell, 93, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011, at Zoar United Methodist Church, Cheraw, SC, with burial in the Church cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Safrona and Jerry Finch, 695 East Jackson Road, Chesterfield, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Zoar United Methodist Church Choir Fund or the Prayer Shaw Ministry Funds, 2842 Zoar Road, Cheraw, SC 29520. Memorials may also be made to Hospice of Chesterfield County, Post Office Box 293, Chesterfield, SC 29709. The family has entrusted Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home with the arrangements.

Mrs. Campbell died Thursday, January 20, 2011, in Cheraw, SC. Flora Belle was born in the Zoar Community of Chesterfield County October 1, 1917, to Mary Jane "Mamie" Hunt and John Robert Davis, Sr. Shortly after graduating from Zoar High School, she married William Jerould Campbell. They were married for over fifty years, prior to Mr. Campbell's death in November, 1985. Mrs. Campbell was a homemaker and loving wife and mother. She devoted much of her time to her Church, being a life-time member of Zoar United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir for over forty years. Mrs. Campbell was also a member of UMW.

Mrs. Campbell was a resident of Palmetto Ridge Assisted Living Center, Cheraw, SC, for the past 14 years where she became a valued member of that community.

Surviving are her daughter, Safrona Campbell Finch, and her husband, Jerry, of Chesterfield, SC; grandchildren, Charles Ashley Finch, and his wife, Tracy, of Aiken, SC, and Amy Finch Metcalf, and her husband, Scott, of Easley, SC; great-grandchildren, Ansley Finch and Matteja Metcalf; a niece she considered one of her own, Bonnie Thomas Chavis, of Cheraw, SC; other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Campbell's seven sisters and one brother predeceased her.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the Palmetto Ridge Assisted Living Center, Cheraw, SC, formerly Cheraw Manor, and Chesterfield County Visiting Nurses Association for their many years of loving care.
