Flora Belle Huntley

Mrs. Flora Belle Sellers Huntley, age 89, entered into rest on Friday, March 16, 2018. Funeral Services will be 4:00 PM Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Hopewell Baptist Church by Pastor Phil Wyatt and Rev. Dan Austin with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM Sunday, prior to the service in the fellowship hall of the church.

Mrs. Huntley was born December 1, 1928 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Harmon and Eula Jeanette Adams Sellers. A retired employee of Sacony Industries, Flora Belle was a faithful member of Hopewell Baptist Church where she served as church historian, former Sunday school teacher, church association representative, member of the W.M.U., and on various other committees throughout the years. She enjoyed reading, history, and researching genealogy. Flora Belle enjoyed talking and never met a stranger.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Huntley was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Huntley; grandson, Will Huntley; and 4 brothers, William, Thomas, Steven, and Charles Sellers.

Survivors include her 2 children, Keith (Beth) Huntley, and Faye (Rickey) Williams both of Chesterfield, SC; great granddaughter, Aubree Huntley and her mother, Erin Huntley of Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Ann Ratliff of Chattanooga, TN; also numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Embrace Hospice, Dr. Travis Novinger and staff of Palmetto Family Medicine, and her dedicated caregivers, Jennie Wallace, Maureen “Moe” Zwiefka, and Glenda Lisenby for the love and care shown to Mrs. Huntley.
