Mrs. Florence Carolyn Talbert Johnson, age 79, entered into rest on Sunday, May 28, 2017. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the True Gospel Emmanuel Holiness Church Cemetery, Wallace, SC. The family will greet friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Johnson was born March 8, 1938 in Copiah County, MS a daughter of the late Grover Gordon Talbert and Elva Odessa Strickland Talbert. She was a retired C.N.A. and a member of Westside Baptist Church. A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Gurstell Johnson, Sr.; 2 sons, Richard Earl Johnson and Edward Gurstell “Eddie” Johnson, Jr; and step-mother, Mable Warren Talbert.

Survivors include her 2 daughters, Belinda (Donnie) Driggers, and Melissa Carol Johnson both of Cheraw, SC; 6 grandchildren, Ashley (Nancy) Driggers of Irmo, SC, Andrew (Jessie) Driggers of Virginia Beach, VA, Daniel (April) Driggers of Wallace, SC, Brooks Johnson of Tarpon Springs, FL, Neil Johnson and Mallory Johnson both of Brookhaven, MS.; 7 great grandchildren, Logan, Mikayla, Colbie, Emalyn, Killian, Samantha, and Reanna; 2 sisters-in-law, Barbara Johnson Wallace of Cheraw, SC and Willa Johnson of Wallace, SC
