Floyd L. "P-Nut" Gainey

Jefferson, SC

Mr. Floyd L. “P-Nut” Gainey, age 68, entered into rest on Monday, March 8, 2021. Graveside services will be 4:00 PM Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Frank Alexander. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home. A second viewing will be held between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 PM Thursday in the Oak Grove Baptist Church sanctuary prior to the service.

Mr. Gainey was born October 21, 1952 in Jefferson, SC a son of the late Floyd E. and Edna Gainey Belk. P-Nut enjoyed being outdoors and could always be found walking. He also enjoyed helping his brother in the scrap metal business and spending time with his beloved dog, “Spot.”

In addition to his parents, Mr. Gainey was also preceded in death by an infant brother, and a nephew, Joey Lynn “Chub” Belk.

Survivors include his brother, Dennis (Barbara) Belk; sister, Bobbie (Michael) Laney both of Jefferson, SC; nieces, Crystal (David) Estes, Nicole (Pedro) Vasquez, Penny (Roy) Trotter, Brandy (Sandy) Donahue, and Kathy Belk; nephews, Brandon (Melissa) Laney, Brent Laney, and Keith Belk.

Memorial donations are being accepted on behalf of the family at MRC Funeral Home, 318 E. Main Street, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
