Frances Tucker Gulledge

Mt. Croghan, SC

Mrs. Frances Tucker Gulledge, age 94, went home to be in the arms of Jesus on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Cross Roads Baptist Church (Family Life Center) by Pastor Jamie Gulledge with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM prior to the service in the church family center.

Mrs. Gulledge was born November 22, 1925 in Ruby, SC a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Belle Moore Tucker. She was a former employee of Ruby Hosiery Mill and a faithful member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. Frances loved her Lord, her church, and her family. She enjoyed canning, cooking, reading the comics, and working cross word puzzles. Mrs. Gulledge was a true people person who was always doing for others.

In addition to her parents, Frances was also preceded in death by her husband, Bud Gulledge; an infant daughter; step-children, Sylvia Hurst, Valentine Raffaldt, and Betty Kistenmacher. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Survivors include her son, Grady (Sandra) Tucker of Cheraw, SC; step children, Judy (Donnie) Sullivan, and Ronnie (Vicki) Gulledge both of Pageland, SC; numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; and her special Furry Friend, “Ben.”

The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of The Rehab Center of Cheraw, the staff of Regency SouthernCare Hospice of Chesterfield, and special friends and caregivers, Thalia Hancock, and Jean Sikes for their love, care, and friendship to Mrs. Gulledge.
