DECEASED: Mr. Francis Marion Odom, age 82, loving husband of 61 years to the late Julia Rae Freeman Odom, died peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, June 29, 2008, at Tuomey Regional Medical Center in Sumter, SC

FUNERAL SERVICE: 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel, Chesterfield, SC

INTERMENT: will follow in Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery

VISITATION: 2:00 - 4:00 PM Wednesday July 2, 2008, prior to the service at Funeral Home

HISTORY: Mr. Odom was born July 26, 1925 in Bennettsville, SC, a son of the late Richard Harris and Mary Ellen Quick Odom. He faithfully attended Friendship United Methodist Church until his health began to decline. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII. Francis was the last surviving member of his family of 3 sisters, Helen O. Creech, Pearl O. McDonald, and Cornelia O. Mitchell; and 6 brothers, Rev, Richard Harris Odom, Jr., Elbert Odom, John Earl Odom, James Edward Odom, Vester Odom and Paul Odom.

1 Daughter: Carolyn O. (Don) Ballard,
1 Granddaughter: Mallory Leigh Leviner, and
1 Great Granddaughter: Kendall Leigh Pierson all of Sumter, SC
