Frank J. Lear

Mr. Frank J. Lear, age 73, entered into rest on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Palmetto Ridge Assisted Living with his cousin Ronnie by his bedside. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Monday, November 8, 2021 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Pastor Mark Phillips with burial to follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Lear was born September 14, 1948 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Hattie Freeman. Frank was reared and cared for by his loving mother and grandparents, Janie & Mike Freeman until age 18. After their passing, Frank was in the care of Fred & Dot Gaskins who loving watched over him until their passing. Frank was a graduate of Chesterfield High School and a beloved member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, where he served as an Usher for many years. For over 30 years, Frank helped Mr. Jack Griggs on the family farm and was never late for work a day in his life. A man who was a friend to all, if Frank ever met you, he would call you by name from that point forward.

In addition to his mother and grandparents, Frank was also preceded in death by cousins, Barbara Ann Wilks, and Tony Merriman.

Survivors include his cousins, Ron (Debbie) Merriman of Cheraw, SC, Freddie (Helen) Gaskins of North, SC, and Benny Gaskins of Cheraw, SC; and a host of friends.
