Freida Baucom Rivers

Mrs. Freida Baucom Rivers, age 74, entered into rest on Monday, January 22, 2018 at her home. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church by Pastor Robert Goins and Rev. Perry Kelly with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, 318 E. Main Street, Chesterfield, SC.

Mrs. Rivers was born March 15, 1943 in Matthews, NC a daughter of the late Thanie and Lucy Hawscloth Baucom. She was a retired employee of the Country Barn and enjoyed attending Dovesville Church of God. She enjoyed watching TV and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Freida was also preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Rivers; daughter, Marie Roscoe; 2 great granddaughters, brothers, David and Lee Baucom; sisters, Norma Starnes, Elma Austin, Mary Elizabeth Plummer, Hazel Hawks, and Helen Baucom.

Survivors include her son, Steven (Deneene) Rivers; daughters, Donna (Ronnie) Winburn both of McBee, SC, Linda (Duncan) Lett of Patrick, SC, Shenna (Rev. Perry) Kelly of Darlington, SC; grandchildren, Amanda, Ronnie, Dale, Joey, Melissa, Tommy, and Zach; great-grandchildren, Carrie, Bethany, Carson, Skylar, Shannon, Natalie, Seth, Autumn, Bella, Anthony, Cayden, Trinity, and Deklan; brothers, Joe Baucom of Charlotte, NC, and Short Baucom of GA; also numerous nieces and nephews and her special dogs, “Charlie” and “Rosie”
