Mrs. Geneva Mullis Moree Dailey, age 85, entered into rest on Saturday, April 14, 2018. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church by Pastor Richard Collins with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends Tuesday, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Dailey was born August 6, 1932 in Union County, NC a daughter of the late Lige and Effie Threatt Mullis. She was a retired food service employee with the Richland County School System and a former employee of Holly Farms of Monroe, NC. A member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Geneva was known for her pies and was always baking and sharing to everyone in the community. She enjoyed shopping trips with her family, and her favorite stops were Hamrick’s and K & W Cafeteria.
In addition to her parents, Geneva was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Moree; daughter, Frances M. Helms; infant son, Jerry Wayne Moree; grandson, Jonathan “Jon-Boy” Moree; brothers, Floyd, Arthur, Rayvon, Charles, and Nathan Mullis; sisters, Doris Laney, and Geraldine “Coot” Tadlock.
Survivors include her sons, Alvin Edward “Buck” (Judy T.) Moree of Pageland, SC, and Kenneth Eugene “Buck Wheat” (Christine) Moree of Lake City, SC; grandchildren, Shannon Cleveland of VA, Chelse Cleveland of KY, Tonya (Jamie) Tomberlin of Pageland, SC, Reggie Carpenter of Lake City, SC, Tony Moree of Marshville, NC, Billy Moree of Mt. Croghan, SC, Jessica Moree, and Christopher Moree both of Monroe, NC, and Dewayne Smith of Fallston, NC; 19 great grandchildren, 3 great – great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Bill (Judy) Mullis, and Frank (Linda) Mullis both of Pageland, SC; brother-in-law, Rayvon Tadlock of Pageland, SC; sisters-in-law, Linda Mullis and Guynelle Mullis both of Pageland, SC; also numerous nieces and nephews.
The family of Mrs. Geneva would like to thank the staff of Chesterfield Convalescent Center for the love and care shown to her through the years.
