Gilbert R. Tarlton

Chesterfield, SC

Mr. Gilbert Ray Tarlton, age 71, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 30, 2020. A Celebration of Life Service will be 6:00 PM Monday, November 2, 2020 from the Chapel of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home by Rev. Kenneth Lindsey. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Tarlton was born January 18, 1949 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late J.B. Tarlton and Mary Jane Boone Tarlton. He was a member of Forest Pine Church and loved to hunt and fish. Gilbert loved to cheer on the Dallas Cowboys; however, his grandchildren and great grandchildren were his greatest loves.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tarlton was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Dale Tarlton, grandson, Connor Davis, and a sister, Pauline Oliver.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jo Tarlton of the home; daughters, Cynthia Roscoe of Cheraw, SC, Darlene Davis of Chesterfield, SC, Kathy Moseley (Tony Williams) of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter-in-law, Karen Tarlton of McBee, SC; grandchildren, Matthew (Kerri) Davis of Chesterfield, SC, Jamie (Christian) Moseley of Lancaster, SC, Heather Tarlton of Chesterfield, SC, Amber Moseley of Lancaster, SC, Christy Tarlton (Chris Bryant) of Chesterfield, SC, Layla Lumbleau of the home, and Victoria Sellers of the home; 8 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and his furry companion, Bo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials my be made to Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home to assist the family.
