Ms. Glendora Langley Deese, age 85, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 28, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Center Grove Baptist Church in Mt. Croghan, SC by Rev. Charles Terry and Rev. Rodney Nicholson with burial to follow in the Taxahaw Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home.

Ms. Deese was born June 24, 1934 in Lancaster, SC a daughter of the late Heyward and Neva Faile Langley. She was a retired employee of Perfect Fit Manufacturing and a faithful caregiver to many for years. Glendora grew up attending Taxahaw Baptist Church and later joined Center Grove Baptist Church. A very hardworking and strong lady, Ms. Deese enjoyed working in her yard, quilting, working word search puzzles, and making crafts with yarn. She also enjoyed riding motorcycles with her sons. Of all things she enjoyed, her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Deese was also preceded in death by a daughter, June Victoria Catoe; son, Richard Amos Catoe; grandson, Cody Brandon Deese; brothers, Frank, Leonard, and Carson “Buck” Langley; and sisters, Doris Jones, Dean Langley, Victoria Langley, Loujean Langley, and Mary Laney.

Survivors include her sons, Phillip Douglas (Doris Ann) Deese, and Charles Ray (Pamela Messer) Deese; daughters, Wanda Gail Deese, and Lorie Ann (Ricky) Deese all of Pageland, SC; brother, George (Barbara Ann) Langley of Pageland, SC; grandchildren, Joshua (Kelly) Miles, Justin Melton, Brittany Melton, Jessica Deese, Raven Deese, and Brandi Tadlock; great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Addison, Wyatt, Brody, Sofie, Benjamin, and Bailee; sisters, Arleda (Fred) Mays, Leneva Horne, Brenda McManus, Eunice Messer, and sister and devoted caregiver, Dianne Wallace of Pageland, SC.

The family would like to thank the staff of Regency SouthernCare Hospice of Chesterfield for the excellent care and love shown to their family, and requests memorials be made to Regency SouthernCare Hospice of Chesterfield, 205 E. Main Street, Chesterfield, SC 29709
