Funeral Home.

HISTORY: Mr. Smith was born September 21, 1936 in Chesterfield, SC, a son of the late James Kirby and Ella Maude Freeman Smith. He was a 1955 graduate of Chesterfield High School and was an employee of Highland Industries for the past 58 years. Glenn was a long time member of Friendship United Methodist Church where he had served as a member of the Administrative Board, was a member of the Finance Committee, was secretary and treasurer of the Cemetery Committee, and was also a choir member. He was a member of the Chesterfield Masonic Lodge # 220 and was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, Glenn was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Bill, Jack, and Rex Smith and by a sister Carolyn S. Coley.

Wife of 56 years, Shirley Morris Smith of the home.
2 Daughters: Rhonda Smith McLain of Chesterfield, SC and Elaine Smith-Shuford and husband, William H. Shuford of Bennettsville, SC
1 Granddaughter: Meagan Elizabeth McLain
1 Great Grandson: David Bryce Parker
2 Step Grandchildren: Jeremy Ryan Shuford and William Patrick Shuford
1 Brother: Garland Smith of Bishopville, SC
2 Sisters: Sylvia S. (Gene) Hurst of Chesterfield, SC and Lois S. Parks of Morrow, GA.
