Mrs. Gloria Parker Waters, age 73, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday evening, September 16, 2021. Graveside services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Brock’s Mill Baptist Church Cemetery by Pastor Johnny Johnson.

Mrs. Waters was born January 4, 1948 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late John Parker and Margaret Sellers Chapman. Gloria enjoyed crocheting and she would often give her family the things that she had made. She also liked cooking and traveling. Above all else Gloria loved being a mother to her sons and her beloved furry friend, Molly Ann.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Waters was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy Lee Waters; step-dad, Courtney Chapman, Jr.; and beloved dog, Molly Ann.

Survivors include her sons, Stevenson (Keenan) Kirkman-Howl of Rockingham, NC, Stewart (Sharon) Howle of Cheraw, SC; grandchildren, Lauren Howle, and Dane Howle both of Cheraw, SC; sisters, Beverly (Oliver) Dickson-Hageman of Lamar, SC, Lenora Parker Lewis of Cheraw, SC; Jo Ann Guerra of Cheraw, SC; brothers, Richard (Denise) Chapman of Cheraw, SC, Courtney Chapman of Rockingham, NC; half-brother, John Darwin Parker of Rockingham, NC; special friend, Walter Childers of Wallace, NC, and step-sons, Lloyd Childers, and James Childers both of Rockingham, NC.

Memorials may be made to the animal rescue of one’s choosing.
