Mrs. Goldia Faye Campbell Johnson, age 84, entered into rest on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, October 18, 2021 at Rocky Creek Presbyterian Church by Pastor Sue Black and Brent Taylor with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Monday prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Johnson was born March 30, 1937 in Chesterfield County, SC a daughter of the late Daniel Fred and Mary Ratliff Campbell. She was a graduate of Pageland High School and Montreat College. She grew up attending White Oak Presbyterian Church and after marriage joined Rocky Creek Presbyterian Church where she was an active member her entire adult life. Goldia was a retired employee of Sandhill Telephone with over 35 years of service. Following her retirement, she enjoyed traveling the world, collecting porcelain dolls and Swarovski Crystal.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was also preceded in death by her husband, William D. “Bill” Johnson; son, William D. “Little Bill” Johnson, Jr.(All-State football player for whom the Central High School Football Stadium is named after); brother, Tommy D. Campbell; and sister-in-law, Mildred Claire Campbell.
Survivors include numerous cousins including Ronnie Campbell, Johnny Campbell, Nancy Jacobs, Douglass Ross Campbell, and Clay Demby Campbell; and nieces, Pat Horton, and Jessica H. Brubeck
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff and administration of Heart and Hands Homecare, and the staff of Regency SouthernCare Hospice for the exceptional love and care shown to Mrs. Johnson and her family.
