Grady C. Allen

Mr. Grady C. Allen, age 75, entered into rest on Friday, September 21, 2018 at his home. Graveside Services have been rescheduled to 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery by Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery and other times at the home of his daughter.

Mr. Allen was born May 30, 1943 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Robert and Connie Tucker Allen. He was a retired employee of Springs Industries. An avid outdoorsman, Grady enjoyed gardening, fishing, and racing. His favorite pastime was time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Allen was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce “Deannie” Chapman Allen; and siblings, W.K. Allen, Clyde Allene, Walter Allen, Lloyd Allen, Dorothy Hendrickson, Bessie Gulledge, Clara Hancock, Azilee Terry, and Arthur Allen.

Survivors include his daughter, Becky Allen (Oskar) Wetternek of Cheraw, SC, 3 grandchildren, Victoria (Slade Avent) Wetternek of Bennettsville, SC, Elizabeth Wetternek, and Sofie Wetternek both of Cheraw, great grandson, Bentley Williams; family friend and caregiver, Paula Oliver; and numerous nieces and nephews.
