MEMORIAL SERVICE: 4:00 P.M. Monday, January 3, 2010 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church

HISTORY: Mrs. Funderburk was born August 16, 1921 in Belpre, Ohio, a daughter of the late Joseph Frederick Hill, DDS and Mary Margaret Simpson Hill. She was a graduate of Salem College in Salem, WV, where she received her BA degree in Library Science, and also did graduate work at the University of South Carolina at Lancaster. Mrs. Funderburk was librarian at Buford Elementary School in Lancaster County, from 1968 - 1975, and was an English teacher at Central High School in Pageland, from 1975 - 1982. She was a member and former Sunday School teacher at Liberty Hill Baptist Church and was a former member and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church Pageland. She was also a member and past President of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Hannah enjoyed singing, reading, knitting, and sewing. In addition to her parents, Hannah was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Guy B. Funderburk and by her older brother, Col. James J. Hill

Daughter of the Heart: Tammy M. Funderburk and Granddaughter of the Heart: Zoe Aribella Funderburk of High Point, NC
Beloved Granddogs: Gracie and Angus
3 Step Daughters: Gail F. Beasley, Judy F. Foundtain, and Betty Dare F. (Robert) Stefanich
Step Son: Dr. David (Betty) Funderburk
Nine Step Grandchildren and Numerous Step Great Grandchildren
Nieces and Nephews: Rev. H. J. Winburn, Arlon (Diane) Winburn, Rev. Harold Wade Winburn, Jimmy (Pam) Funderburk, Jerry (Pat) Funderburk, Joe (Gill) Hill, Barbara Funderburk, and Joaquina (Edwin) Zacharias
Also other Children of the Heart: Pam Jordan, Nina and Charles Sawyer, and Mark Hester.
