Helen Bittle Griggs

Mrs. Helen Bittle Griggs entered into rest on Friday, February 18, 2022 at the age of 80. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, February 21, 2022 at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, and at other times from the home of Bryan and Teri Griggs at 1316 Fox Hollow Dr, Hartsville, SC 29520.

Mrs. Griggs was born March 17, 1941 in Chesterfield, SC a daughter of the late Perry Bittle and Maggie Tarlton Roscoe. Mrs. Griggs was a homemaker who enjoyed caring and cooking for her family. Helen was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church where she enjoyed their lady fellowships as well as their mother-daughter banquet. Mrs. Griggs also liked to travel to the beach and she loved her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Helen was also preceded in death by her brothers, Ronnie and Alvin Bittle.

Survivors include her husband of over 60 years, Harvey Lavern Griggs of the home; son, Bryan (Teri) Griggs of Hartsville, SC; daughter, Gloria (Kendall) Jacobs of Patrick, SC; grandchildren, Justin (Jessica) Hodges of Hartsville, SC, Caleb (Tiffany) Griggs of Hartsville, SC, Drake Griggs of Hartsville, SC; great-grandchildren, Connor, Hendley, and Tagan.
