Helen McLain Threadgill

Mrs. Helen McLain Threadgill, age 87, entered into rest on Sunday, June 21, 2020. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at St. John Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery by Tommy Bailey and Brent Taylor. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery. Due to ongoing public health concerns, social distancing is encouraged. For those who are unable to attend, the service will be broadcast live on the Miller Rivers Caulder Facebook Page.

Mrs. Threadgill was born February 14, 1933 in Patrick, SC a daughter of the late John Avender and Pearl Ruth Dew McLain. She was a faithful member of St. John Freewill Baptist Church and a retired seamstress from the textile industry. Helen enjoyed quilting and traveling with her family to the beach.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Threadgill was also preceded in death by her husbands, Andrew Heustess, and Grady Threadgill; son, Larry Heustess; grandsons, Mark Griggs and Will Threadgill; brothers, Ray McLain, Vernon McLain; and sister, Eloise Saleeby.

Survivors include her son, Ronnie Threadgill of Patrick, SC; daughters, Gail Heustess,  and Susan (Charles) Tipton both of Cheraw, SC; daughters-in-law, Lisa Threadgill of Murrells Inlet, SC, and Cheryl Huestess of Beaufort, SC; grandchildren, Abbi (Billy) Gibbs, Kelli (Cam) Beck, Andy (Mandy) Griggs, Hayley (Cody Cassidy) Threadgill, Jennifer (Jackson) Eddins, Brian (Lauren) Tipton; 12 great grandchildren; and sister, Loretta Perdue of Hartsville, SC.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to special caregiver, Lorie Gattison for her love, care, and support to Mrs. Threadgill and family.
