DECEASED: Mr. Henry Luke "Buddy" Gulledge, III, went home to be with his Lord, Sunday, June 8, 2014.

INTERMENT: will follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery

HISTORY: Mr. Gulledge was born April 10, 1941 in Chesterfield, SC a son of the late Henry Luke Gulledge, Jr. and Bessie Irene Griggs Gulledge. He was a 1959 graduate of Chesterfield High School, and attended Chesterfield - Marlboro TEC, where he received a certificate in Church Music and Landscaping Design for Homeowners. Luke was a former employee of J.P. Stevens with 27 years of service, and the retired owner and operator of Luke's Flowers. He was a life long faithful member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon at various times since 1968, Church Treasurer for 24 years, Sunday School Teacher, R.A. Leader, former Choir Director, member of the Social Committee, and the Benevolence Committee. Luke was the first recipient of the Pine Grove Baptist Church Father of the Year award in 1981. He currently served as a Choir member, Building Committee member, VBS Worker, member of the Baptist Men's Fellowship, and member and president of the Adult Sunday School Class # IV. In addition to his parents, Luke was also preceded in death by his brother, Jewel Elree "Tony" Gulledge.

2 Sons: Wendell Keith Gulledge of West Columbia, SC and Ivan Scott Gulledge and his
wife, Hope Lumpkin Gulledge of Chesterfield, SC
1 Granddaughter: Stephanie Barrett Ramirez and her husband, Will Ramirez of Chesterfield, SC
1 Sister: Marguerite Gulledge Grimsley of Dillon, SC
