Henry Thomas "Tom" Cranford

Mr. Henry Thomas “Tom” Cranford, age 68, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 with his family by his side. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday, May 21, 2021 at Patrick Baptist Church by Pastor Grover Johnson with burial to follow in the Patrick Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Cranford was born December 6, 1952 in Florence, SC a son of the late John Gary and Miriam E. Hunter Cranford. He was a graduate of S.D. Lee High School of Columbus, MS and a retired employee of INA Bearing with 43 years of service. An active and faithful member of Patrick Baptist Church, Tom served as Deacon, Choir Director, former Sunday school teacher, and in various other capacities through the years. He was also a former member of the Patrick Cemetery Committee. His hobbies included golfing, playing ping-pong, working in his yard, and playing his guitar. Tom will always be remembered as a man of deep faith and love for God, his family, his church, and music. His pride and joy were his grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity to brag on them.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cranford was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Marshall Duvall; mother-in-law, Margaret Duvall; sisters-in-law, Olivia, Julia, and Connie; and brothers-in-law, Ronnie and Billy.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jane Cranford of the home; children, Margaret “MiMi” Cranford (Stephen) Wild of Patrick, SC, and John M. (Brooke) Cranford of Chesterfield, SC; 7 grandchildren, Avie S. Wild, Lantz, Jaxon, Jozie, Atticus, John Guy, and Remi Cranford; brother, Michael (Cindy) Cranford of Columbus, MS; sister, Susan (Larry) Perdue of Patrick, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
